This Privacy Policy describes how SaaS Review ("SaaS Review," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use SaaS Review and related services (the "Services"). We are committed to handling your information responsibly and giving you meaningful control over it.

  • Account information — name, email, password hash, and profile details you provide when you sign up.
  • Content you submit — reviews, ratings, comments, software submissions, and related metadata.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, searches, interactions, device type, browser, language, approximate location derived from IP, and timestamps.

  • Communications — messages you send us (e.g. support requests).

3. How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
  • Create and manage your account, authenticate sign-ins, and keep the platform secure.
  • Publish your reviews and contributions, attributed to your chosen display name.
  • Improve the product through aggregated, privacy-preserving analytics.
  • Communicate with you about updates, security, and (if you opt in) product news.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we process your personal data on these legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Contract — to provide the Services you sign up for.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the Services secure, prevent abuse, and improve them.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, analytics, and optional marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers we use to run the Services (e.g. hosting, database, email delivery, analytics). They are bound by contract and may only use your data on our instructions.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights, property, or safety.

We are based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. Public contributions (such as reviews) may remain after account deletion in anonymized form. We may retain certain data longer where required by law or to resolve disputes.

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.

9. California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

  • Request access to and deletion of your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. If you reject non-essential cookies in our cookie banner, we treat that as a valid opt-out signal, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC).
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would require this option).
  • Be free from retaliation for exercising your privacy rights.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data and notify you of material breaches as required by law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "effective" date. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email.
